Another fun bag to make, remembering “Slow & Steady” is the way to go.
NOTE – there are 2 sizes of bags (Kori’s store sample is the small size)
Supplies needed –
ALL supplies available at Kori’s Fabric Creations:
Take A Stand pattern, zipper(s), mesh, fold over elastic
Hardware for adjustable strap (see pattern)
Sewing Machine
Regular piecing needles (80/12) AND 100/16 Denim/Jean
needles
Steam Iron & pressing mat (there are
classroom irons)
Scissors/Thread Snips
Pins/Wonder Clips (lots of clips)
Washout marking pen
*Stiletto (very important)
Thread to match fabric and/or invisible
thread
Rotary cutter & cutting mat
Highly recommended to have…
Quick turn fabric tube turning tool
Bodkin (helps pull strapping into handles)
Before class –
Read through the entire pattern
Make a copy of page 9 (for the small bag), page 10 (for the large bag) and cut the tabs apart. As
you cut your pieces clip the corresponding tab to the piece. (I found the tabs to be a great way
to double check that I had ALL the pieces cut out AND you will refer to these tabs as you start to
assemble your bag.)
Some of the pieces are more than one – watch for multiple cuts
Have pieces cut before class time
