Prep BEFORE Collage Part 1 Class
Wash all your fabric to remove any chemicals. Dry for 5 minutes then take out and iron it until dry, this will put some of the stiffness back into fabric. DO NOT USE STARCH. Steam a Seam recommends you prewash your fabric so it adheres better.
You may want to prepare some of your fabric before class. Peel the plain side of SAS (Steam A Seam) off and place on back of fabric. The yellow grid will be showing on backside of your fabric. Run a DRY iron (cotton setting) across paper to adhere SAS to fabric, use your pressing sheet so glue does not get onto your iron or ironing board. Cool.
If you want to cut some of your fussy cut images go ahead but there will be time in class if you would rather wait. TIP: When fussy cutting you don’t have to cut to the edge of image, leave a little space for depth and to stitch around. Also use your Karen Buckley Scissors as the serrated edge with help with fraying.
Cant wait to see you!!!
Requirements: | You will need to bring to class everything listed on the back of your pattern. More info to come when you sign up! No sewing machine needed. |
